I am taking the "Fearless Fair Isle" class at the Studio Knitting Retreat this coming weekend. Tonight I took out the basket of yarn to try and decide which 3 colors I should put together.
Oh dear. I like a lot of them.
I don't know. What do you think?
It's supposed to snow tonight. If it does, the class I am supposed to teach tomorrow will be canceled. If that happens I will get to stay home and look at different color combinations all day long. GUESS who is praying for snow like they haven't done since they were a kid?
periwinkle, orange and kiwi. now I want to knit a shawl with those colours.

Since it really won't bother me to much if it snows, ill pray for you that it dose!..Lol I'd love to help with the colour combo but its a hard one to answer, they all look good, but if it helps...only if it helps! top right would be my choice. Ok I'm fessing ! I like green. Oh I have an idea since tomorrow comes here befor it happens there, do you want me to let you know if its snowing? Lol

I liked the middle row, left, as soon as I saw it.
Kind of anemones in winter combo.

I like the top right and bottom left combos - I like orange and blue together. But I'm sure you will make more than one... You are such a creative woman with so much energy to create many beautiful things.
PS. You and your sister are two of my favorite, most creative, and funniest blog-crushes. Thanks for sharing your talents and your travel tales with all of us.
Stay safe, stay warm, and keep on cooking those awesome meals too.

I like them all too. But since you're going to make a headband, choose the colors that you want to wear or that match your coat!
Not a lot of snow, so I guess the roads are okay.

I would replace the yellow in the middle right with the orange. I am not in to cooling it down!

i have not read the other comments: will do so after I weigh in!!! I think the upper left in row one would turn out muddied. Upper right is my choice. If you were quilting, I'd go with the theory that you should put together a foursquare block for testing. But with yarn (not my medium) I would suggest taking a couple of feet of each, twisting them together, folding in half and twisting again. That should give you some feel for how the colors work together. (back in my quilting days, I was warned to avoid choosing fabrics based on how the bolts go together, as there is too much volume to judge. So looking at those balls is not a good basis for choice, either.) Do post the finished work????
