We have been seriously behind on our rainfall for the year. The winter wheat in Kansas is suffering as a result. So when we got a nice gentle rain Thursday it was much appreciated. I loved the way it looked on the japanese maple.
Rainy weather is also good for drinking tea. Drinking tea and thinking.
I recieved this Apple Lemon Pomegranate Rooiboos Tea at our Quail Christmas gift exchange. It is a new taste sensation for me. And a very good one. I thought it would be too many competing flavors. I was so wrong.
I don't know what it is about using a wire mesh tea ball infuser that makes me feel like a grown-up. A sophisticated, tea-drinking, grown up. Who knows what that could lead to.
UH OH...watch it with that tea ball infuser...it might cause you to run amuck! I love blended teas with fruit. My all time favorite is Teavanna's Youth Berry. If you have a chance to taste it (they have little carts out front of their stores for sips) AH, but I'm in the mood for hot chocolate.
We're having a hard freeze tonight...down in the 20's!!!! Egad.

Your photos have stirred my soul! As far back as I can remember even as a little one I have loved the beauty of fall knowing in my heart that winter is on its way. Having been privileged to have experience a few winters in different countries while growing up I will never forget that very soothing, peaceful and promising sight of rain sitting on sleepy tree branches.....can I copy you photo for my journal, oh and rest assured you will be great fully thanked for it...I love what your eyes see and your heart knows to share it......just another greatly fond memory! Winter in Eastern Europe , the Danube frozen over, so cold you can hear nothing . Then in the very early hrs of the morn in the distens a distinct sound of ice crackingas the ice breaking tug travels down the Danube in preparation for the daily trafic, it's peirsing sound echoing in the still of the night will be my treasure .....this is why...picture a 7 year old girl loveingly ruged up in a big thick blanket made be her grandmother while her grand father assures her that everything is fine then proceeds to explain how it all works while they try to get a glimpse of the tug boat through the frozen frosted window in a country kitchen while tea is beating prepared on the old hob....i will never forget .... So here I go thanking you again for your beautiful photos....Marianne

I love the photo with the raindrops on the branches--they look like little pearls.

Grownup=highly overrated. Next thing you know you'll be wearing a push up bra and a girdle while you drink your tea.

I love tea and coffee for different reasons and both are part of my day. And when I drink tea I always feel warmer and for some strange reason, find myself thinking clearer about what is going on with me.

You make everything look so lovely. Somehow my cuppa is wonderful and soothing but the experience is not as altogether beautiful as yours. As for the rain, I am glad you are getting some in Kansas as I love wheat but I am longing to see the sun again in southeastern Tennessee!
