Behold, a completed project. The Secret Love Neckwarmer.
Even though I made this for myself, it would be the perfect gift for your secret love. I'm thinking of making my "not so secret love" one in black or dark gray.
I wish I had connected the dots between the "Secret Love" name, the "XOXO" pattern, and Valentines day so I could have gotten my act together and made this in time for Valenties day. Not that YOU can't do that if you are a speedy knitter.
I love knitting cables. They look so complicated but are deceptively simple. I made this with Punta Yarns 100% Merino. The pattern is from The Studio. It is an original design by Alie Scholes.
Great looking cowl/scarf. I've just finished 2 cowls and have another bulky one on the needles for a friend in Canada.
Is that a Christmas tree in the background? Still up after New Year? My sister-in law kept hers up year round...thank goodness it was artificial.

This is fabulous. I have just been going through all my wool stash and trying to organize it. Perhaps I can find something with just enough left that would make up a nice cowl. Splendid idea.
