I met my writing partner Nancy downtown on Massachussets street this morning.
I had been wanting to try out The Roost. A new breakfast/lunch spot. Not because someone had written a good review of their maple bacon biscuit. Seriously, that was not the reason I suggested we go there.
In case you were wondering, the maple bacon biscuit was tender and light with a very fine coating of a sweet maple glaze that did not detract from the crispy exterior of the biscuit. Furthermore it was one of the best "pastry" breakfasts I have ever had in my entire life. It was a perfect pairing with my over-indulgent 16 oz cappuccino in a tall glass. AND the next time I go it WILL be just to order the exact same thing I had today. Because something that good bears repeating.
