Today I removed the pins from my blocked shawl/scarf and proceeded to wrap it around in every conceivable position in which it might be worn. I have sung the praises of blocking in the past and lamented the fact that someone can not soak me in a sink, pin me down and smooth out all the rough spots. But it bears repeating. Blocking is the bomb.
The aramani shawl is lightweight, easy to fashion into different configurations, able to be worn inside at work without causing you to go into meltdown mode, and can be knit in many different color combinations.
The pattern calls for Brooklyn Tweed LOFT and there are 655 projects to look at on ravelry. I made mine with Nature Spun fingering weight. A thoroughly enjoyable project - completed! Just in time for summer. I see no reason to plan your projects to go with the season.
