Fall mornings call for a neck warmer. At least for me they do. If my neck is cold, my whole body is cold.
I made this cowl a while back but hadn't realized how much I liked it until recently.
Hand above included for perspective. It's a small cowl (circumference is 19 1/2 inches and it's 9 inches in height). Very unfussy. By that I mean you don't need to tuck it or wrap it or pin it. You put it over your head and it does it's thing. Perfect.
This is the yarn I used for mine. Perfectly soft. Itchy and neck are a bad, bad combination. Don't do it. No matter how pretty the yarn. You won't wear it.
This pattern is the noble cowl and it's a free download on ravelry. Good Christmas present idea. I reduced the number of repeats in the pattern (instead of casting on 120 I did 90) precisely because I did NOT want to pin it. If you want it looser, follow the pattern.
