I stopped by the library (one of 20 branches) to pick up a Jane Austen book. There were none available. So I went to the New Books shelves and picked up The Devil You Know...a debut novel by Elisabeth de Mariaffi One of the reviews by author Claire Cameron: Take the wit of Gone Girl, the horror of Helter Skelter, the twists of In Cold Blood, and the wisdom of Joan Didion's The White Album, and you feel the thrill of reading The Devil You Know...a brilliant and thoughtful thriller that is tense, funny, scary, smart and true.
I hope it lives up to all those check points that make for a good read for me.
I love Michael Connelly's books.
