Red Husker Penstemon was photographed in May and June under blue skies, gray skies, in the rain, close up, farther away, before they were fully opened, early in the day, and after I got home from work. Photographed endlessly, in all their simple splendid glorious glory.
Everything you see here started from one plant given to me by a friend when I moved in. It has been spread over the years by the wind and the birds. If you don't want it somewhere it's easy to pull up. A lazy gardeners friend for sure.
I have dug it up and sent it along to other friends gardens too. Dottie, I will be sending a pot home with you when you come out next. No Nebraska fan should be without it.
