When the Mulvenon's go on vacation we each take a night cooking and it's "game-on". So far on this trip we have had maple chipotle glazed pork with smoked Gouda grits, and roasted asparagus prepared by Dan & Ann. Chris and I fixed chicken tostadas with Angie's Spanish rice and home-made salsa. Tonight Steve & Janelle are pulling out all the stops.
Here is what they are fixing:
Smoked gouda jalapeno poppers, caprese salad on a stick, and stuffed mushrooms round out the appetizer course. This will be followed by marimonte salad and marinated grapes. The main course is spaghetti and meatballs with homemade marinara sauce and american garlic bread. For dessert they have prepared key lime sorbet and option # 2 is s'mores prepared ocean side. All of this will be washed down with Rombauer Chardonnay and Zinfandel.
