My ornamental cabbage is being consumed by a nibbling creature as fast as it is turning color, which leads me to believe that this might be as good as it gets this year.
The zinnias are also on their last legs, the red husker penstemon has gone from purple to gold, and the euonymus alatus is turning red.
I would like to report that Harvey is still orange. And still coming over to help me with the gardening chores. Which brings me an unimaginable amount of happiness. I am putty in his hands, and not ashamed to admit it.
