This week I finished working in all the ends of the Wingspan scarf. These colors are better for spring, but that will not stop me from wearing it at least once this fall. It is made from Cottonation yarn (100% cotton) in colorway 791. Just right for warmer fall or cooler spring evenings.
I also finished a dishcloth. Ever since I received my first handmade dishcloth from Louise Berndt in 2011 I have been sold on them. There is something extremely satisfying about making an item that is so useful. The pattern is the almost lost washcloth and is a free download.
And so... having no (zero!) projects on the needles, I had to start something. Or maybe I should say some things. This yarn was purchased on a little street in Bergen 3 years ago and has been patiently waiting to be turned into socks.
The yarn below hasn't even been in the house a year, but I really want to wear it. Soon.
And this. This is an inexcusable, unnecessary purchase that I blame totally on the colors. In my defense, it was on the sale table. And I did leave the store and wait 18 whole hours until I figured out what I was going to do with it before I went back and bought just the right amount for the project I have in mind.
Progress reports to follow!
