The crocus are blooming, the red sunset maple is budding out, and the succulents are turning green here in Kansas. All sure signs that Spring is just around the corner. Oh I am ready for some color outside. My sister has been going for walks at the Huntington gardens and Descanso gardens and it has been making me insanely jealous since we are still mostly in the gray zone around here. But not for long!
The tulips, grape hyacinths, and alium are also popping up out of the dirt and the Persian lilac bush has green buds on it. I have major trimming to do on the rose bush and the decorative grasses need to be cut down. I suppose there must be some work to balance out the beauty ahead. The days of porch sitting after work and on weekend mornings can not be far away. Oh joy.
