Because they are so pretty, you are going to get a mid week look at the peonies on my table. From every possible angle. Then I am going to tell you about a new recipe I tried this week that warrants sharing. I came upon it while spending valuable time (that could have been spent more productively) surfing the web. But let's start with the peonies.
Now, we move from pretty to tasty. Because frankly this cauliflower dish doesn't look like much. But darn it's good. And different. I love to find unusual ways to prepare vegetables. This recipe called for me to roast a red pepper and use silken tofu - two things I don't do often.
I warned you it doesn't look like much but it's a great side dish. A little on the spicy side and I think it's just as good at room temperature as it is hot. Make this for your guests who are adventurous eaters. They will hail you as a culinary genius. The next time I make it, I might roast the cauliflower in the oven instead of sauteing it. I would do everything else the same.
Will one of you tofu experts tell me what to do with the cup or so I have left over?
