Yesterday the summer quilt moved from "pie in the sky" category to the realm of "really going to do this". I have been into Sarah's Fabrics no less than 5 times and drooled over the selections, but kept scratching my head because I'm not sure how to pick the colors and patterns that I like that will also work together in some kind of visually pleasing way. So many choices. I like them all. What's a girl to do?
Just buy a whole lot of what you like and you will make it come together, that's what. And so I did. I also had a really nice person with cute earrings make a few helpful suggestions. Anyone with earrings that cute on must know what she's doing so I took her at her word.
so, do you have a pattern in mind???

Great fabrics! I love Sarah's and that is where I got all the fabric for my daughter's quilt which I blogged about recently...its still unfinished. Go figure!

Yummy looking fabrics you have there Ms. Carol. Can't wait to see what your magic hands make with them.

What a wonderful palette you have chosen. They look very Amy Butler-ish and I just LOVE them all. I hope earring girl is lucky for you :)

The pattern I am going to use is Amy Butler's lotus quilt. It looks simple enough... I think.
Jenny - since you've been to Sarah's you know exactly what I mean about the selection. Your pattern by the way is beautiful and oh so complicated looking.
I'm getting ready to cut! Wish me luck :-)
