For the last month or so I have done absolutely no knitting. Zero. Zip. Nada. The big goose egg. Well, except when I am at my Monday night knitting class. Surrounded by all my knitting buddies. Too much other stuff to do when the weather is nice I say. But tonight out came the projects!
NEW episodes of NCIS, NCIS - Los Angeles, and some other new show that is starting tonight. I can not lie. I am addicted to certain TV shows. All that high drama makes the adrenalin flow and I swear I knit faster. I wouldn't watch it for any other reason.
Carol,
I took a MAM class and "met you" there..Just checked out your blog and you have a new follower,

You have disclosed the secret to my needlework! I cannot knit without the TV. I just got back from Chicago with some very unusual yarns and am knitting up storm, so far only with the steel (yes, steel!) yarn and silk yarn.

I agree with you that tv and knitting go hand in hand. I love to knit too but it goes in waves as I like to do so many other things too in the crafty world. So little time, so many projects.

I think the only way of getting through the new season of shows is to have something to do by hand while watching with one eye. I'm still a little to shaky to get at the knitting but can't wait to get into a new project!

I have been out of the knitting mood for months and months. Even having a group that meets at Barnes & Noble bookstore each Sunday, I have only joined the group to babble on about the nonsense of my life and to slurp down the Skinny Caramel Macchiattos at the Starbucks coffee shop inside the store. Books, coffee, pastries, and coffee....does it get any better than that?
I've knit two pairs of booties, a baby bonnet, a square for my sampler Aran afghan...I've completely flipped the switch from off knit to on knit...I'm searching through my stash of gorgeous Noro, Cascade, and some new yarn from Knit Picks that is Merino, silk, and nylon...so soft you just want to pet it. The color way is called Castle Walls...can't you just picture it?
Because I live in a state with very mild winters, knitting an Aran Sweater has always been off limits as it's just too hot here...especially for a sweater that goes over your head. If I can find a decent cardigan I might be tempted to make a stab at a sweater for myself...something I haven't knit in over 50 years. Egad, have I lost my mind?
You didn't say what those yummy looking things are going to morph into...sweaters? Shawls? What?

You just reminded me I have a knitting project from last winter that I need to pull out and finish. I don't watch TV -- but have Netflix (for now) so I can zone out in front of a movie while knitting. Or listening to an audio book is fun too. What are you kitting there?

I haven't knitted in years but never miss episodes of NCIS or NCIS--LA---these are two of my faves!! Maybe it's time I put the two together. Thanks for the idea!!

Seriously, what are you knitting?? It's gorgeous! Are those Signature needles? How do you like them? I've been back on the knitting kick lately. Finished a year old sweater and a pair of socks. I've got other languishing projects but decided to start another cardigan. I'm a fool for new yarn :)
