The comic strip journal (aka the palm springs art retreat journal) got a cover tonight. I cut up the back of an old math book to make it.
While I had the table cleared off I went ahead and got the paints out.
I still have some spots that need a dab here and a dab there. You should be aiming for somewhere between over-the-top and downright gaudy in this kind of journal. I think I am juuuuust about there.
Looks like you had fun, so I say I think you've got it!

Love your journal. I am new in making my own journals and just curious did you just glue the signatures into the old book cover or did you sew them? If so what kind of string did you use. I bought some binding thread from the art store but it seems so thin.
