Weather people sometimes get confused by all that meteorological technology (doppler radar, plain old radar, satellites, dual polarization, etc). I like to keep it simple. When the buds arrive it's Spring. Buds don't lie.

It was 84F here yesterday. Went down to the Colorado River scouting for wildflowers at Nelson's Landing which is not longer a landing since the last flash flood wiped out the marina, several mobile homes. The wildflowers peaked a week or so ago. Dang! But I can't complain about the weather. Now tomorrow we'll se a 20 degree drop in temps. That's what makes living in the high desert of the inter-mountain west so intriguing...you never know what to expect except in summer when you know you'll be living in an oven.
Perfect! ;o)

No, buds don't lie. Don't see a darn bud around here yet! Enjoy your buds.

So happy, my plum buds are falling off to reveal little caper sized plums inside. Now we need to avoid any more freezing temperatures.
