Being an embroiderer myself, I can appreciate her needlework. A few years ago, Redwork embroidery, very popular in the Great Depression years, had a huge resurgence. I did many pieces for quilts, table runners, etc. All were given away. I've done old fashioned pillowcases, and doilies too. I love the old linen pieces that have softened with age. Great find.

The embroidery is nicely done and the crocheted edging is a great finishing touch. It makes me think that I should get back to my knitting!
Zinnias have such a happy look. Next summer, when I don't have construction all around I am going to try planting some. Sweet peas are nice, too.
I look forward to your weekly bouquet .
