Before it gets too far along in the season,
and before they are all gone from the target shelves (which I understand is the only place they are being sold),
I feel it is my duty to tell you about these.
They are good, not delicious, not irresistable, but good. The M&M people should never think of trying to replace regular M&M's, or peanut M&M's, or peanut butter M&M's with these ...
... and they can never, ever, EVER, take the place of the true fall candy mix... salty cocktail peanuts and candy corn. But until it is time for that, these are a nice distraction.
Pumpkin ("punkin" here in backwoods New England) belongs in pie. period. not soup. not beer. not bread. definitely not m & m bits. And, like Forrest Gump, "that's all I'm gonna say about that."

Thank you for this very important public service announcement. I probably would have been tempted to try them, but now that I am fully informed I will wait happily for the True Halloween Mix, just as I have done for many years, and as I have taught my wandering son. The responsibility to pass down these traditions weighs heavily on my mind. You always wonder if they were listening. I think I'll send him some True Halloween Mix when the time is right.
Remember, it is Not October until you have demolished the first bag of candy corn.

I had no idea about these M & Ms which is really a shame because M & Ms are made about a mile from my house. There are day, especially mornings, when the smell of chocolate is simply WONDERFUL!

I would go totally batty if I lived within a mile of M&M and could smell chocolate in the air...I'd also weigh 300 lbs, needing lap band surgery! Vicki: How do you cope?
Candy Corn or the Brach's little pumpkins are must haves in the Clarke household. I don't give those away at Halloween...nope, I hog them for myself.
How in the world did I miss the tradition of Candy Corn/cocktail peanuts Mix? I'm ancient...this is not a tradition in the West as far as I know. Now I can't wait to try it...do you make it up yourself or is it available in the market?
