It's October! Get out your orange stuff and let the Halloween decorating begin.
This also means I am going to have to take down the Valentine garlands from over the dining room table. I hate to even think about that. I am going right this second to get my mind to work on a garland for the fall. Chris suggested bats or spiders. I have vetoed both of them.
I've put out the Halloween decorations: Mini Pumpkins and gourds in nice colors, some ceramic pumpkins. I don't have a fall wreath or any banners.
I like the idea of bats...(they fascinate me in real life) I once attended a bat banding by one of the UNLV biologists. One of the most interesting things I've done aside from banding hummers.
I love Fall, all the colors, the smells, tastes. The whole punk-a-lads!

Last fall in an uncharacteristic bout of home decorating, I bought a lantern and hung it by my deck and filled it with a battery candle and some faux autumn berries and pumpkins. I inadvertently hung it too high for me to reach without a ladder. That made it most inconvenient to switch out the fall decor for winter decor. Soon it was most inconvenient to switch out the fall decor for spring decor. Soon it was most inconvenient to switch out the fall decor for summer decor. But now it is totally convenient to enjoy the existing fall decor!!! Perhaps you could wait for Valentines day to roll around.... :-)
