It is cold across the midwest tonight. Face freezing, teeth numbing, eye watering cold. We ate with our coats on and drank wine for medicinal purposes.

We're in the deep freeze too. (at least freezing to us) Overnight it's in the 20's, daytime it's 40F...which probably sounds like a heat wave to you.
Tho freezing cold, Lawrence looks beautiful. I couldn't bear to be out in it!
