This was a lovely little book despite some predictable plot twists. What I liked best about it was the premise that there is a victorian language known by a limited few, and with this knowledge it is possible to use flowers to convey messages with hidden meaning.
I also just finished reading this book by a woman whose mother had Alzheimers. Its always interesting to read about others on a similar path. I did not find any life-altering wisdom in it, just the comfort of shared experiences.
I just picked up the audiobook version of The Quest by Nelson DeMille from the library. The reviews are mixed but I am giving it a try. On the bedside table is Mr. Penumbra's 24 Hour Bookstore which I had hoped to start on the snow day that did not materialize a week or so ago. Monday with the wind chills registering at MINUS 15 degrees (and me off since I worked on Saturday) I commenced to reading. Instant likability. Final judgement to come later.
Lots of busy reading, and very interesting too by the sound of it. I hope you enjoy staying snug and safe and warm. xx

I recently read The Language of Flowers and really enjoyed it. Also just finished The Fault in our Stars and enjoyed it as well. We seem to have similar tastes, so I very much enjoy reading your reviews. Getting ready to start The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd (just out today). I was stoked to be number 1 on the hold list and promptly downloaded it last evening. Got Mr. Penumbra's...on my library hold list as well. Cant wait to hear how you like it.

I'm about 3/4 of the way into "The Goldfinch" by Donna Tartt and it is really holding my attention unlike anything else I've read lately.
