Sunflower season has begun in the Sunflower state. These are just a few of the species that were on display at the market on Saturday.
I also spied the perfect sunbonnet amongst the market goers this weekend. Lightweight, washable, with an air vent in the back. I wish someone would make me one. And while you have your machine out, I sure do look those shorts she is wearing.
There was a tie in the cleverness category at the market on Saturday. I honestly couldn't decide if it should go to the guy who packaged up these baskets that containing everything you need to make dill pickles....
.... or to this lady who has come up with the perfect use for the croc that has lost it's partner.
Oh, sorry, I put my Bernina in cold storage when the quilting mojo left me some 8 years ago. That hat is not beyond your sewing skills. Neither are the shorts.
My vote for the most clever goes with the Croc Who Lost Its Parnter...that is very clever.

Because of your pickle post from a week or so ago, and my new book, Preserving by the Pint: Quick Seasonal Canning for Small Spaces by Marisa McClellan, I bought kirby cucumbers and some tomatoes at the local farmer's market today. To make some garlic dill pickles and pizza sauce.
Love the croc.

Surely you know the saying, "When faced with two equally tempting choices, pick both." At least I think that's a saying. Well, at any rate, I just said it. :-)

Makes me wish I had a croc. Having only one would to be a problem. I am a good loser.
