In the wee hours of the night last night, after having taken a 3 hour sewing class during the day, I started a new sewing project. A teeny, tiny quilting project actually. It's important to reinforce your learning by practicing shortly after you acquire a new skill. For me it is anyway.
In the light of day this morning I was still happy with it. I have been threatening to make a new one for some time now. I've had these fabrics for ages and think they are perfect for my "end of summer - beginning of fall - likely to still be using in a year" coffee cozy. Oh, and no, starbucks holiday cups are not here yet. This is my coffee cozy mannequin. I saved it several years ago when I made my first cozy to be sure I got the button in the right spot. A too tight or too loose cozy is plain no good.
This is my favorite coffee cozy tutorial should you decide you need a teeny, tiny, one-hour, sewing/quilting project. Thanks Erin Harris for sharing your expertise for free!
LOVE the fancy stitching with the variegated thread!!! Very nicely done.
