There are few things in life better than a weekend spent with old friends. Friends that you grew up with 33 years ago when you were starting out life on your own as a young college co-ed. Friends that you pick right up with no matter how long it has been since you last saw each other ... without skipping a beat.
If you can eat great meals, play 10 point pitch, drink wine, take walks, watch the leaves begin to turn, and discuss issues like being "straightforward", mortal sins, and walking pneumonia... well so much the better.
How wonderful to still have friends like that!

I have a group of friends in Kansas City that I have known since high school. We try to get together once a year for a slumber party. there have been times when we haven't been able to do it and didn't see each other for four or five years, but whenever it happens, its just like old times. We are so lucky to have those kinds of friendships!

Would love to have heard the discussions, particularly intrigued by "mortal sin" topic.
Must say that along with your developing skills in so many divergent projects is your photographic art.
Composition is especially a standout. Your eye for color and subject matter is becoming very refined. The results are a real treat for those of us who follow along in your adventures.

Mortal Sins? Interesting. The designation of venial/mortal sins went out when Pope John reformed the Catholic Church in the 60's. I'd love to have heard that conversation!!!
At one point, early on in your blog postings, you mentioned that one of you was a professional photographer....is that you or Chris? At any rate, the pics are always appreciated, especially the farmers market and fall ones, oh yes, and all the food & drink ones too. 93F here today!
