This past weekend we had two beautiful warm days in the upper 50's which made it impossible for me not to get in a little walking on some of the new trails in Lawrence. I have said it before, and for sure I will say it again, but seriously ... Kansas really is beautiful. And I don't just mean the fields of sunflowers, the amazing sunsets, and the produce from the farmers markets.
All these photos are from the trails at Rock Chalk park. Thanks to Jan for telling me about them AND giving me a map. When you come to Lawrence to check out all the great restaurants and coffee shops be sure to throw your walking shoes in the back of your car so you can see these fabulous blue skies for yourself.
They are fabulous blue!! Is that Rock Chalk jayhawk?

I had never even heard of Lawrence before I started following your blog. You make me want to see it with all of your posts about the pretty places and great restaurants and coffee shops. I never knew quails were native to Kansas before either. 😉
