If you like quirky characters, you are going to love The Rosie Project. I just finished it this week. Don Tillman is a thoroughly delightful main character. Unconventional and endearing.
I have also been flipping through the pages of Kristin Nicholas's latest book - Crafting a Colorful Home. It's a treat for the eyes. I thoroughly enjoy reading her blog and love her excellent color sense in knitting as well as her home. Not to mention the sheep and lambs.
This just got returned to the library in Lawrence as well. Laura Lippman tells a good story and made me miss my exit one night on the drive home after work. I forgave her because she handled what could have been a "hard to read" story so well.
Three book reviews for the price of one. All very different. All recommended.
Here's three for you:
Behind the Beautiful Forevers;;Katherine Boo
North of Boston--Elizabeth Elo
Some Luck--jane Smiley
