Mending is not something that I normally get giddy about. It's mending. A chore to be endured but not enjoyed. Until Pam gave me one of the strawberry pin cushions she made for an embroidery class that is!!
It was on my pillow when I got to Art Retreat #3.
I might have mentioned to her about 653 times how cute I thought they were, but I certainly did not expect her to give me one.
I think you can see though, how it might make mending seem like a treat and not a task.
It might make you decide to drop some real strawberries in your wine to sip on while stitching.
My strawberry pin cushion has found a new home in the yarn basket in front of the fireplace. It's very handy there for sewing on buttons or fixing a hem...
... or for providing the inspiration to attempt this patch job. With a strawberry pin cushion lots of things seem possible. Thanks Pam!
