Last night I rolled the last 2 skeins of the yarn for the lizard ridge afghan into 4 balls.
This will be "plane knitting" for my next trip.
Meanwhile, these are the Philadelphia squares. I am considering "Isaiah" and "Julia" as their names in honor of the Magic Gardens and the Boeuf Bourguignon. No decisions are final yet.
And, while we are on the topic of yarn, I went to Loop when I was in Philadelphia. I ventured out with the specific purpose of looking at and touching some Brooklyn Tweed yarn. We don't have it available at any of the local yarn stores in our area.
This was a delightful yarn store. Clean white shelving and walls; yarn well organized and artistically arranged. There were helpful, friendly, people working here. They helped me figure out how much yarn I might need for the pattern I had in mind for the yarn I was just going to look at.
When they said they would be happy to ship it, I didn't know they were going to wrap it like a present and include a thank you note and have it to me so fast. All that was a bonus.
Did I mention the darling project bags? You know I had to get one.
I would have been able to resist the purchase if the people in the store hadn't been so nice. But they were, so I did, and now here I am, with 5 skeins of lovely Brooklyn Tweed loft. And I could not be happier.
Carol, Carol, Carol- seriously, you thought you could walk into a yarn store and just LOOK? But, I know- that's what we all tell ourselves. Your Brooklyn Tweed Loft is scrumptious.
When is your next plane trip? I've been following the progress on the Lizard Ridge and I'm anxious to see it all put together.

Given that they did, I totally would have, too. :-)
I love the way your post headings come from the text of your posts. I amuse myself, for a moment, wondering what on earth your post will be about, given the title.... Then I click through to find out.
I'm always wrong. lol................
LOVE the yarn you bought in Philly. What a gorgeous color. Can't wait to see what it becomes.
ps -- is that pink bird calling out for some French knots?

I find that little yarn shop very charming, even though I don't knit! If you ever do visit Glacier Park, there is a sweet little yard shop in downtown Kalispell called Camas Creek Yarn. Here is a photo: https://www.google.com/search?q=camas+creek+yarn&biw=1664&bih=898&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=Slb7VKeKHZH0oASEqYK4Bw&ved=0CAgQ_AUoAw#imgdii=TQcL7eWbaobI9M%3A%3BpeQB1LJQ5tbxtM%3BTQcL7eWbaobI9M%3A&imgrc=TQcL7eWbaobI9M%253A%3BvOtM7ZQyaaUMkM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fvisitmt.com%252FPictures%252FFullsize%252F25991h.jpg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.visitmt.com%252Fcategories%252Fmoreinfo.asp%253FIDRRecordID%253D18565%2526siteid%253D0%3B652%3B400

You know I still don't knit but I too would possibly have walked out of there after buying yarn. Oh that blue looks yummy!

I don't knit and I don't know anything about yarn but that shop was great! The extra bonuses...how fun! You're squares are beautiful!! I have not been to Philadelphia either, but now I want to take a trip there. Thanks for sharing your goodies!

OOOOOH! Some yarn petting is very special...Brooklyn Tweed yarn is not available here either, but love his patterns, catalog and the photography. His blog was filled with beautiful things.
The last of Lizard Ridge? Seems to have gone quickly. Looking forward to seeing it done.
Do you have a pattern in mind for the BT yarn in that yummy color?
Walking into a yarn store to "just look" Sorry, that just doesn't happen. If one touches, one buys. Fact.
