Because Joan and Daisy and Barbara told me lilacs like to be pruned,
... and because I haven't used this little pink pitcher for awhile,
... and because the threat of rain kept me from the farmers market last weekend,
... I cut myself a nice bunch from my wee bushes out back and brought them inside. I like to follow good advice.
Plus I just realized that I had only really done two posts about lilacs this spring and surely there should be at least three?
Wonderful. again! ;o)

And you're rewarded with that lovely scent of lilacs for having pruned your lilac bush. You'll reap rewards again next spring. All's good. Lilacs and Freesias are both scents I love, followed by old-fashioned roses, narcissus, honeysuckle.
I have a friend who has no sense of smell...can you even imagine a world without wonderful smells? I cannot.
