Fourth of July in the Midwest means dressing up your house for the holiday. These were my favorites in Lawrence this year.
After driving around taking all these pictures, I got out my own favorite 4th of July decoration, the holiday themed cocktail napkin, and proceeded to the porch so I could supervise Chris on the ladder.
And just like that, the annual tradition of the hanging of the flag bunting was accomplished.

Love the houses with the stars & stripes displayed.
I live in a military town (Nellis AFB, home of the Thunderbirds)) lots of veterans live and retire here. So patriotic when it comes to American Patriotic events and traditions. I love it all except the home fireworks shows because it scares my dog and cat terribly.
I'm glad you had the position of porch superintendent of bunting hanging.

This post makes me homesick! I miss Kansas. Love seeing your pictures of home.
