There was fresh dill at the market today. Mixed in with my dining room table bouquet. A most unexpected place to find dill.
There were also lilies and phlox, but I selected this bouquet for the dill.
I planted some in my garden this year but it didn't survive. Too wet I think. With flowers like this, you can bet I will try again next year. I love the feathery, delicateness of them.
There were lots of umbrellas at the market too; for sheltering people and dogs.
They also came in handy for keeping these crepe eaters dry as well as mothers on missions.
I also saw peaches and ... wreaths made out of miniature bottles and wire. Squeal!
How they came up with this clever idea I do not know. But I sure do like it.
I love tagging along with you to the farmers market. So many yummy and beautiful things to drool over. Dill and Queen Ann's Lace are two of my favorite plants. The structure of both is just fascinating. The smell of fresh dill is so earthy and fresh.

I've yet to be able to grow dill..??? but I love it. What woman whose Nana made dill pickles wouldn't? That wreath? an idea for my adult son's English antique bottles. Dug up when he was a boy. Dug up from an old tip when he was about 7 and believe me that was cold cold rain, sweat and mud and frickin' hard work. That image is Pinned.
