it was and we didn't

We had vanilla cake with vanilla icing at our house this week.  On Sunday.  For the Golden Globes. 

For a spectacle like this award show, it's important to go all out.  Treat it like a party in other words.

And what's a party without cake?   

For the record, I would just like to  say it was Chris's idea.

Except for the sprinkles.  That part was totally my idea, even if I came up with it at the last minute.

And yes, we did cut it at 3pm.  To taste it to be sure it was light, fluffy, and delicious and did not need to be thrown away and started over.

Which it was, by the way, (light and fluffy and delicious) and we didn't (throw it away and start over).

Oooh! I love that kind of cake. What recipe did you use?
