Last Saturday I got a sudden craving for a chocolate martini. Brought on by watching the Pioneer Woman make one on her show.
Ree made a chocolate orange martini that looked great, but I wanted to put a bit of a different spin on it. I pulled down these bottles and prepared to do some taste testing.
1 shot Dizzy Three coffee vodka, 1 shot Godiva chocolate cream liqueur, 1 shot creme de cacao, one shot whole milk or half and half.
Shake it up in a cocktail shaker full of ice. Strain into a martini glass.
For the record, this attempt at using up mini hearts to rim a martini glass was a disaster. Don't bother to try it. Stick with the customary blend of finely shaved chocolate and sugar.
Don't forget to shave a little chocolate on top of your drink too. It heightens the element of aromatherapy, thus adding to the whole experience. This was so good I had one on Saturday and one on Sunday. I needed to be sure it was worthy of passing on. It is. I made it on Saturday with half and half, on Sunday with whole milk. I liked it better with the whole milk. Use what you have on hand.
Ooh! Yummy!
