It is possible that these grape hyacinths are the most anticipated flower ever. In all the history of bulb planting. I feel certain that none have been examined as closely as these have anyway. Each day, since the first bits of green appeared, I have been inspecting the progress.
I was a little worried when it snowed. But only a little. They may be small but they are mighty and made to withstand a little late snow.
Maybe by Sunday or Monday or Tuesday next they will be at their peak. And it will be sunny. Fingers crossed.
Meanwhile, I am delighted each time I discover one emerging cone of blue. Delighted and amazed. And happy.
