Dianthus and columbine started blooming this weekend here in Lawrence.

Happily they play well together in this small blue bottle.   Oh Sunday why can't you last just a few hours longer?

One of the few disappointments in my retirement from teaching (20 years ago) was the immediate effect on "significant weekdays." Like you, I had rejoiced in the freedom of TGIF and moaned at the descending darkness on Sunday. Now, it's all one pleasant blur of free days, and there are times when I long for the
emotions of an impending workweek or an exploding weekend. Relish those moments now..............
