Happily, in addition to this being the season of farmers markets, baby geese, and spring bouquets it is also the time of year when you can usually find a good art fair going on somewhere. With displays of colorful creativity where little girls can begin to appreciate the mysterious pull of colors and textures and unusual images.
Last weekend I saw pottery, beads, demonstrations, and sparkly hanging glass.
Art fairs are best on a sunny spring day with green grass and cool breezes. All were delivered last weekend at Art in the Park in Lawrence.
Did I mention music and places to sit and listen?
I also spotted transformed gourds, paintings, discarded silverware fashioned into dragonfly thingies, and a girl with a T-Rex.
Because even fierce carnivores can enjoy a good art fair.
So cool, I love these trips!
