Yesterday we headed south from Lawrence on 1500 Road to a farm near Baldwin Kansas.
To the studio where Pam Carvalho of Prairie Found Studio works her magic. She and about 10 of her artist friends are displaying their work this weekend.
This quilt above was not for sale. It is clearly priceless. I was quite happy to be able to see it and will be thinking about it for a long time to come. Such beautiful work.
Pam is the maker of the fall/winter garland that hangs over my dining room table.
Having the opportunity to see where artists work, and the surroundings that inspire them, is a treat.
I came home with some treasures. Plus a huge dose of creative energy.
Would you get a look at that dried Okra? In your entire life, have you ever seen anything so unexpectedly beautiful?
A perfect way to spend a few hours on a November day. Out on the prairie in Kansas. Pam's open house is still going on today (Sunday) if you are close. Prairie Found Studio - 859 E. 1500 Road, Baldwin Kansas. Hours are 10am to 4pm.
Thank you for taking us along! So glad to see so many interesting and beautiful things (that okra!!!!! who knew!).
