You remember this poncho? The one I was going to have done in time for the trip to Arkansas, that I didn't finish in time, but it turned out ok because it wasn't cold enough to need it?
I got it blocked and seamed just in time for Thanksgiving.
Last February when I posted about this poncho I recieved many questions about it. I know lots of you have since knit one up yourselves. Lets face it, a poncho looks good on everyone, is easy to throw on, is not too hot to wear indoors, and is a snap to make. Previously I blogged about the pattern here. I predict many of you will want to make one for yourselves. Thanks Mary Joan, for telling me about it in the first place.
Here is a view from the side and the back too.
I used malabrigo rios yarn for this. 4 skeins. I took the time to order 4 of the same dye lot. Totally unnecessary. If you pull down 4 skeins and they look close enough I would go with them. It took about 3 weeks for the yarn to come in and if you are like me, when you got a poncho making monkey on your back, you ain't got time for that nonsense.
The yarn knitted up so beautifully--a perfect fall poncho!

Beautiful. I love the asymmetrical look. That color looks great with denim, and looks great on you.

Lovely yarn, great poncho. It's fun to knit when things go together so nicely.
