Your after dinner hike is a great tradition and you found a beautiful spot for it. Growing up in Wyoming, I used to see autumn leaves on trees and lovely scenes like you show in magazines for Thanksgiving and thought, who still has leaves and warm(ish) temps this time of year! We had to wear winter coats under our Halloween costumes, never mind by Thanksgiving it was snowy and windy and cold! Enjoy your perfect late autumn Thanksgiving weather Carol!
