I love setting up the Pygmy forest every year at Christmas.
However, I dislike how the trees wobble on their cork trunks, and regularly fall off the table and tins and candlesticks I stand them on.
This weekend we solved that problem with the help of Abraham Lincoln and a hot glue gun.
Oh I love a stable foundation.
Chris prepared 4 extra trunks for me. Reforestation must be undertaken on an annual basis. This is a great way to use up scrap yarn, and the perfect meditation while sipping on hot cocoa on Christmas morning.
If you want to start your own forest, a link to the free pattern is below.
Good idea. Mine are falling over too. We don't have a glue gun but maybe regular glue will work. Merry Christmas!

I love all your little knitted trees! If you get tired of making those, you might want to try this little santa hat. I'm sure you can alter the size, to make some for your little holiday creatures!
