After I arrived in LA, but before we took off for Palm Springs, we visited the Huntington.
As in GARDENS.
Sister walks there all the time and it makes me insane with jealousy. So many varieties of plants and flower and sounds.
Camelias left on benches by secret admirers.
Mysterious banyan trees.
Paths that stretch out ahead, so inviting.
Bonsai gardens.
Japanese gardens.
Strange shooting succulents stretching skyward.
Sycamores at sunset.
This was a whirlwind 45 minute tour that was a perfect start to our art retreat. I have instructed sister that we must do this every year.
It can be the opening ceremonies of art retreat. Good idea huh?
That's a wonderful place to walk and think and photograph landscapes. I'm curious if you girls are planning another trip somewhere this year. Our travel is sort of on hold with the new puppy and a diabetic cat. Maybe next year. The new pup is so sweet, Carol. Full of tail wags and puppy kisses and lots of independence, too. :)
