Last week on a quick pilgrimage to the Kauffman Gardens I was treated to a feast of flowers. Including allium, iris, a stray rose or two, peonies ready to bloom, and dogwoods dropping their petals.
There was also the resident cat to pet and lots of spots to sit; for soaking in the quiet splendor. Afterwards, there was a trip to a favorite coffee spot.
I do love a good field trip.

Little get-aways are such life enhancers, especially when they include peach iris and a bagel and a coffee drink.
