A summer walk by the lake in Lawrence = sunflowers, grasses, and lots of birdsong.
While walking, I spied for the first time, a white wooly worm. Someone said that means we'll have blizzards this winter?
There is a great bench at the end of this walk. Perfect for letting all the the rambling thoughts I have had while walking coalesce into something. Or not. I don't know about you, but I have a LOT of ideas while I am walking. Some are better than others. All warrant exploration.
Idyllic and wonderful! ♥

Yes, when I lived in Indiana, the weather predicting abilities of wooly worms was legendary! Yes - all white means a hard winter with a lot of snow. Maybe not blizzards - my neighbors would just say something like "snow cover for the entire season" rather than blizzards.
That way, as long as there was ANY snow on the ground thru most of the winter the wooly worm was RIGHT!!

Thanks Claire, I do love to hear the "farmers almanac" version of a weather forecast! At this moment I think snow cover for the entire season seems like what we are going to need.
