Happy rainy, cloudy, cool, Saturday from Lawrence Kansas. Where I find myself totally blissed out listening to Brandi Carlisle radio on Pandora.
When we were kids and would put a record on the stereo, sometimes, if Dad was home, he would snap his fingers in time to the music and say "come on sissy let's dance". When I find myself immersed in a weekend concert like this, I can picture him so clearly right here in the kitchen with me.
This weather had me sipping on tea this morning. In a pretty cup. Which is part of the reason to drink tea in the first place right?
This Earl Gray blend is very tasty. No milk, sugar, honey, or lemon needed.
Thin, vanilla cream sandwich cookies, are quite nice on the side. If you like that sort of thing. Which I do, even if they are store-bought Oreos.
The moonflower growing in a pot on my deck, from seeds sent to me from my friend Michele's garden, is going to bloom. Hurrah! It likes the slightly cooler temps today. So do the geraniums and the cosmos.
There is no excuse for a post that started to be about Brandi Carlisle (how has it taken me so long to discover her?) and veered into good memories of Dad, then segued to hot tea and English china with a brief garden tour. But there it is. Now all I want to do is light a candle, put up my feet, cover my legs with a throw, and knit.
Since there are no excuses for this flight-of-ideas, I offer none. It's just where I am right now. Please do know that I spared you the million other notions racing through my mind that I briefly considered talking about as well.
Oh, one final thought... thanks for your comments and e-mails about my last post. I do like being knowing where you stand on matters.
I think I like the simple blogs that give a glimpse into your day, the best. But I like them all! ;o)

Earl Grey in a pretty with a side of those thin vanilla Oreos. How could it get better?!
