Last year, Sister and I decided that Palm Spring Art retreat MUST always begin with the opening ceremonies at the Huntington in San Marino. It was an excellent idea and was continued this year.
There is a Desert garden, a Japanese garden, a Chinese garden, a Rose Garden, a Camelia garden, and I could go on and on and on. Suffice it to say there is always something new to see.
Heck I could see the same thing every time because it always looks different, depending on the time of day and weather conditions.
It was particularly lovely in the rain this year.
We were treated to a demonstration of how to safely navigate spines while eating eat cactus flowers by a garden resident.
Holy buckets nature is amazing.
Let me add astounding and wondrous to that description.
Yep, just plain gorgeous!

Sister! I agree. He moved when he saw me taking the shot. I think he was being nice and didn't want to "mess up" my picture. Luckily I got him in the first one :-)
