This morning, when the snow flurries began, I put on my coat and went to the store. For flowers. Spring flowers, to be more specific.
Because the next best thing to a spring garden walk, to see what is coming up in your garden, is spring flowers on your table.
From wherever they can be obtained.
These Japanese iris served my purpose. Splendidly.
Other inside tasks today included roasting Brussels sprouts to take to lunch this week, and making a new batch of muesli.
While the oven was hot for toasting and roasting, baby Bella mushrooms were also prepared.
While not as pretty to look at as spring flowers, they do add a flavorful punch to a salad. Especially on cold spring days.
Wonderful, you have such a great eye, Carol.
