It is with great delight that I tell you my Boardwalk vest has been completed.
The neck detail ended up being much easier than I thought it would be. Brooklyn Tweed patterns have challenged my skills. In a GOOD way. These designers pay attention to the small details that make a garment lay right and thus fit well.
The ends practically worked themselves in, and it was blocked on Saturday night.
Sunday we went out for a walk and took some photos.
This vest is the perfect weight for spring walks as well as for wearing to work. It is extremely lightweight so will not feel too hot indoors.
I selected the size I thought would fit best with about 2 inches of positive ease as suggested.
The underarm holes accommodate my shirt perfectly without it getting bunched up, as has happened with other vests I have knitted.
Thanks Chris for taking the photos. To be fair, I did offer to have him model the vest, while I took pictures but he wasn't going for that.
The geese were at the arboretum today too. They were not one bit interested in the photo shoot, or the vest.
It has taken me 6-7 years of knitting to finally figure out what will work for me in a garment, and what won't. Maybe it's that way for all knitters? Right now I am enjoying letting my mind run over the possibilities for my next larger project. Anything is possible. Another sweater versus the Find Your Fade wrap. I love wallowing in these sorts of decisions.

Some day I must invest enough time to do as you have done and find out what works for me....I haven't knitted in years due to major disappointments in finished works.

Thanks everyone for all the nice comments :-)
Jeanette: The Good Will store has been the recipient of many of my knitted garments that did not suite me when completed. I don't like to be reminded of my less successful endeavors by keeping them around.
