We interrupt this recap of Santa Barbara for an update from Colorado.  Where the flowers are dazzling, snow covers the mountain tops, and family hikes are being taken.

We are playing Farkle, cooking, and feasting on new taste treats like the roasted peaches with honey, topped with burrata, pistachios, and mint below. 

At the end of the day when I lay my head down to sleep, I look up and see the stars in a dark purplish-midnight blue sky.. and to my right, out the window, the lodge pole pines sway and whisper in the breeze. 

And everyone lived happily ever after.  The end.

And everyone lived happily ever after. Indeed! That's just how I feel when I get to my happy place in Idaho. That second photo looks a lot like my view from there.
