I'm enjoying learning more about the history of country, but I feel like Ken Burns doesn't really like country music. He's missing the heart of it somehow. I,too, grew up with it, and it's still regularly heard in our home. Those stories of love and loss, simple pleasures and deep joy, betrayal and faith, aren't just history, they're life. Music like country helps put meaning in is and keeps the faith.
